Extramarks, an ed-tech company, was launching its very first IP, an education festival with an element of fun. The biggest challenge was to create an identity & communication that appealed to a diverse audience – students, educators & parents. Through discussions with them, we identified & formed three core pillars that the festival would be built on –Education, Entertainment & Inspiration.
The base identity was inspired by a bar graph…a universal symbol for charting progress.
Along with becoming a part of the logo unit, it was also translated into a family of icons…the four lines transforming into different elements one could experience at the festival. The
colour palette chosen hinted at a fun, youthful event which would attract the target group of school-going students.
Having been involved right from the conception stage of the project, we were brought onboard as the Creative Partners, becoming custodians for the brand, designing everything from the logo to the marketing collaterals to the website to scripting chat sessions, in addition to supervising all other creative work like social media & event creatives.
